Before work begins, we will provide an estimated price where reasonably possible. Additional work or parts that become necessary may result in an additional charge. Where practical, we will discuss any significant additional costs with you before proceeding.
3. Vehicle Ownership and Authorisation
For security and legal reasons, we may require proof of identity, vehicle ownership or authority to access or work on a vehicle.
You confirm that you have the legal right and appropriate authority to request our services for the vehicle concerned.
Car Key Kings reserves the right to refuse or delay a service where we are not satisfied that the customer has appropriate authority to access or make changes to the vehicle.
4. Vehicle Access
We use appropriate professional tools and techniques when gaining access to locked vehicles and take reasonable care to minimise the risk of damage.
However, vehicle locks, seals, mechanisms and other components can be affected by age, previous damage, wear, corrosion or existing faults. Where a vehicle has pre-existing damage or a defective component, we cannot guarantee that access will be possible without further damage.
We will explain any significant risks where they are reasonably identifiable before carrying out the work.
5. Replacement Keys and Programming
Replacement keys, remotes and other components may vary depending on the vehicle.
Where a replacement key or remote is supplied, compatibility will depend on the vehicle’s make, model, year and existing security system. We will use reasonable care to ensure that supplied components are suitable for the vehicle based on the information available to us.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate vehicle information.
In some circumstances, additional programming, diagnostic work or replacement components may be required to complete the job successfully.
6. Parts and Replacement Components
Where replacement parts or components are required, these may be sourced from a third-party manufacturer or supplier.
Parts supplied by Car Key Kings will be covered by any applicable manufacturer’s warranty, subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.
Warranty coverage does not normally extend to damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, modification, incorrect installation by another party, or normal wear and tear.
7. Pricing and Payment
Prices will depend on the vehicle, service required, parts involved and the circumstances of the job.
Any quotation or estimate provided is based on the information available at the time and may change if the nature of the work is different from that originally described.
Payment is due upon completion of the agreed work unless alternative payment arrangements have been agreed in advance.
Car Key Kings reserves the right to suspend or decline further work where payment remains outstanding.
8. Cancellations and Call-Outs
If you need to cancel or change an appointment, please contact us as soon as possible.
For emergency or mobile call-outs, time and resources may already have been allocated to your booking. Any applicable cancellation or call-out charge will be communicated to you before it is applied where reasonably possible.
9. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information about their vehicle and the service required.
You should inform us of any known faults, previous repairs, modifications, security issues or damage that may affect the work.
Customers must also ensure that the vehicle is safely accessible and that we are permitted to carry out the requested work at the location provided.
10. Warranty and Faults
We aim to provide a high standard of workmanship and will make reasonable efforts to rectify any genuine fault relating directly to work carried out by Car Key Kings.
If you experience a problem following our work, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can assess the issue.
Our warranty does not cover faults caused by unrelated vehicle problems, subsequent work carried out by another person or business, misuse, accidental damage, normal wear and tear, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
11. Limitation of Liability
Car Key Kings will take reasonable care when carrying out services.
To the extent permitted by law, we will not be responsible for losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control, pre-existing vehicle faults or damage, inaccurate information supplied by the customer, or work carried out on the vehicle by another person or business.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
